We can also pick you up from your home or other location within the local area (5 min drive from Manly rta) eg. bus stop, but please factor-in the travel time for the instructor to drive from Manly rta to your location. For example, if you book a lesson for 9am from your home, then please allow at least 5 minutes travel time before your instructor arrives, 9.05am. Similarly, allow 5 minutes travel time for the instructor to return to the Manly rta to start his next appointment at 10am.

Why are the Lesson Packages Cheaper per Hour than a One Hour Driving Lesson?

The reason Manly Driving School is able to give this discount is that we pass on the savings in fuel and time that accrue with a longer lesson duration and reduced travel time between consecutive driving lessons directly to the customer.

Thus, as the Driving Lesson Package size increases then so does the savings. The 10 Pack being the cheapest and the 6 & 4 Packs being slightly more expensive and the 1 hour lesson the most expensive.

Are there any Advantages doing the 1.5 & 2 Hour Lesson Packages?

At Manly Drivng School we have found that Driving Lessons durations between 1 - 2 hours are far more beneficial to the student than a 1 hour lesson. This is because the first 20 minutes of each lesson is consumed with "getting ones footing and drive feel for the car", leaving only 40 minutes for advancing with new learning material. Thus, with a 2 hour lesson you have 100 minutes (1 hour and 40 minutes) for new material compared to only 80 minutes with two 1 hour Driving Lessons (2 x 40 minutes).

Consequently, longer Driving Lesson durations benefit the new driver both with cost savings and increased time for advancing driving skills.

Booking Lesson Pricing & Policy

All Driving School Packages exclude government and rta charges.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

All Driving School Lesson and Package fees are payable in total, in advance, at the beginning of the first lesson.

We do not permit credit and our Lesson Policy is strickly enforced, as follows: "No Payment - No Lesson!"

Driving School Lessons must be cancelled within 24 hours or the full cost will be applicable.

Appointment No-Show Policy

The full cost of Driving School Lessons will be applicable if the customer does not show or notify within 24 hours.

Payment is due in advance on 1st lesson

Please have payment for classes and Driving School Lesson packages available on the 1st lesson. Cash payment preferred.

Pay as you Go: $690/hour

90 minutes: $99 

4 Pack: $260 on 1st lesson

6 Pack: $375 on 1st lesson

10 Pack: Full amount on 1st lesson

Preparation & Assessment for Test: $149

Please Note: Lesson Packages to be completed within 2 months of commencement.

Travel time between Appointments

Occassionally we may need to adjust your Appointment time to make allowance for your instructors travel time between Drivng Lessons. Manly Drivng School apologises ín advance for any inconvenience this may cause, but we will endeavour to notify you at least 12 hours prior to your original Appointment time to minimise any disruption.

Withdrawing money from atm machines

Please ensure you have payments available before commencement of Drivng School Lessons so that your lesson will not be shortened whilst looking for an atm machine!
